Suppose a person covers certain distance at the speed x Km/hr and then covers an equal distance at speed of y Km/hr. Then the average speed during the whole journey is given by
Proof: Let the distance traveled be m km
Time taken to cover the distance of m Kms at the speed of x Km/Hr
Time taken to cover the distance of m Kms at the speed of y Km/Hr
Mr Kumar drives to work at an average speed of 48 km/h. Time taken to drive first 60%of the distance is 10 minutes more than the time taken to cover the remaining distance. How far is his office. | |||
